The Mercer Portable Fireplace features a durable resin shell that draws attention to the orange flames from the wide stainless steel burner. The bio-ethanol fuel used is the cleanest burning fuel available and will not leave a residue on walls, furniture or windows as the only emission is a slight amount of water vapor. Fuel consumption rate varies depending on the model and the flame setting, but most burners consume between 5oz-10oz of alcohol per hour.
Heating effect- depending on the size of the room and other factors such as insulation, in most cases a ventless fire will raise the ambient temperature from between 7-12 degrees, making a cool room cozy and comfortable in a matter of minutes.
The bio-ethanol which is poured in a reservoir in the burner is a wholly renewable source of energy that is made from agricultural products such as sugar, potatoes, beetroot, and corn, to name a few. The only emissions produced from burning this type of fuel are heat, water vapor (steam), and low levels of carbon dioxide (CO2). We do recommend that the room have proper ventilation as this process uses some oxygen out of the air. Your indoor fireplace package comes complete with outer resin shell, burner, lighter and control wand tool. Please note that this fireplace is not intended as a primary heat source.

The use of resin for the Mercer shell provides you with an extremely durable covering that withstands everyday usage with very little maintenance. To clean the fireplace frame, simply wipe with a soft damp cloth from time to time. The wide burner of the Mercer is manufactured using stainless steel. The standard use of stainless steel means the burner will not warp or disfigure after years of use.
