About The Biofuel BLOC Burners
As a fireplace insert the Biofuel BLOC Burner replaces log burning and allows closure of the chimney vent thereby greatly reducing the cool draft that can happen when fire places are not in use. The vent-less unit produces radiant heat at a rate of 2.8 KW with burner consumption rated at 0.35 L/H. For the “do it yourself” fireplace designer or contemporary interior designer the BLOC Burners use is limitless. Use of multiple BLOC units enables creation of fiery illusions that captivate and mystify both home settings and commercial establishments. As a free standing fireplace the BLOC can be placed on a fire-safe surface without leaving residue on walls, furniture or windows. The bio-ethanol fuel used in the BLOC is the cleanest burning fuel available and will provide flame for 6 to 8 hours depending on the flame height.
The bio-ethanol which is poured in a reservoir inside the bloc, is very clean when burned as it turns into heat and a water vapor. We do recommend that the room have proper ventilation as this process uses some oxygen out of the air. Your fireplace burner comes complete with a lever to extinguish the flame, CO tester, lighter and funnel. A detailed instruction manual and safety instructions are also included. Please note that this fireplace is not intended as a primary heat source.
About the Materials
The BLOC Burner is constructed of heavy duty steel with a durable brushed finish. To clean the fireplace frame, simply wipe with a soft damp cloth from time to time.
